Description

The Terrot HT is powered by a 350 cc single-cylinder 4-stroke engine delivering an output of about 9 hp at 4,000 rpm. While that may seem modest compared to modern machines, the HT's performance was very respectable for its time. The engine is air-cooled and has an overhead camshaft (OHC), which was innovative in its day.

The Terrot HT has a manual 3-speed transmission connected to the rear wheel via a cardan shaft. The HT's top speed was around 90 km/h, which was impressive for the 1920s and made it a motorcycle suitable for both city traffic and longer journeys.

The suspension components of the Terrot HT are also extraordinary. This model has a sprung front fork for improved ride stability and comfort. As with most motorcycles of the time, the rear wheel is rigidly mounted. The mechanical drum brakes on the front and rear wheels provide the necessary braking force.

The leather seat of the Terrot HT provides a certain level of comfort for the rider despite its minimalist design. The dashboard is kept simple on this model, with a centrally mounted speedometer. With intuitive and simple controls, the experience of riding this classic motorcycle is something truly special.

Our auction piece was acquired by the current owner in 2000 before undergoing a complete overhaul and restoration. Hundreds of hours of painstaking and heartfelt work have been done on this wonderful item. The Terrot HT looks as if it has just rolled off the forecourt of a motorcycle dealer from 1928. Vehicle after MFK (Swiss MOT) and with veteran status. This exceptionally rare motorcycle from the "Golden Twenties" is looking for a new enthusiastic collector.
