Description

The 1973 Jaguar E-Type V12 cabriolet embodies the best of two worlds: luxury and performance. In 1971, the E-Type was given a newly developed 5.3-litre V12 engine (5,343 cc) with 276 PS (203 kW) at 5,850 rpm and a maximum torque of 412 Nm at 3,600 rpm. With this V12 engine, Jaguar unveiled the first large-series twelve-cylinder model with alloy block, which replaced a predecessor that went back to 1935. A total of just over 15,000 cars were built with this engine.

Jaguar presented the E-Type V12 as a triumph of engineering in the early 1970s, as the automotive industry was being shaped by new challenges. The long, flowing body of the 1973 Jaguar E-Type V12 cabriolet is a homage to the elegance and style of the 1970s. The characteristic round headlights, the striking radiator grille and the curved rear end lend this vehicle a timeless beauty that still inspires admiration today.

The innovative technology and the advanced design make the E-Type V12 a gem of automotive engineering. The finest materials, high-quality upholstery and hand-finished details create an interior that perfectly blended the comfort and luxury of the times. The cockpit is the marriage between driver and machine. A drive in an open-top E-Type is not just a trip – it is a journey through the ages that fills the soul with nostalgia and invokes the pulse of the past. This cabriolet is an icon of automotive design and remains not only a classic, but also a legacy of design and pure driving pleasure.

The vehicle up for auction was fully restored by experts in Switzerland. New soft top, OPUS electric ignition, air conditioning removed, original leather seats re-upholstered. The Jaguar in all its new splendour is ready to embark on more adventures, with no need to wait for maintenance work.
